2001, A Psychonaut's Odyssey
Sent to the Darkside of the Moon
by the Darkside of the Mushroom
on a mission to find the Darkside of the Monolith
Digitally painted on ProCreate
Once the spaceship was discovered, we jumped onto it with an intense curiosity to explore where it could take us to.
The closer we thought we were to the ultimate answer, the further the answer got away from us.
We found ourselves on a mission to discover the Dark Side of the Monolith
What I find the most curious is that the illustrations that came through me over the 3 years of period had a connection between them. This connection was not consciously designed by me, in fact I realised this months later finishing them.
Becoming aware of the super natural phenomenons
Getting closer to the source
Jumping on board and exploring the alien worlds
As a big fan of space exploration and evolution of consciousness, 2001: A space Oddyssey is one of my top favourite experiences.
The film, which follows a voyage to Jupiter with the sentient computer HAL after the discovery of a mysterious black monolith affecting human evolution, deals with themes of existentialism, human evolution, technology, artificial intelligence, and the possibility of the existence of extraterrestrial life.
There it was the black monolith.
Carrier of knowledge and wisdom
Protected and shared by the cosmic serpents
My curiosity in the symbological use of the Serpent came from the great book I was reading around the time called
The Cosmic Serpent
DNA and the
Origins of Knowledge
By Jeremy Narby
In this book Narby shares his long study on Ayahuasca shamans of Amazon, their knowledge in plants&nature and ultimately, their journeys through Ayahuasca.
What I find very interesting is that the serpent is present in among many culture. Some see it as the holy animal that brings knowledge, on the other hand some consider it as the ultimate evil.
But perhaps, what we consider as "Evil" has something to do with spreading the wisdom?
can you spot the hidden molecule?
Inner journeys have formed a mushroom crop circle of DMT molecule in this painting. I am curious why this happened...
N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT or N,N-DMT) is a tryptamine molecule which occurs in many plants and animals It can be consumed as a powerful entheogen and has historically been prepared by various cultures for ritual purposes Rick Strassman labeled it "the spirit molecule"
